What happens to your domain

When you register a domain there is a non-refundable fee. Most of this fee goes to the registrar that takes care of the top level domains. For example VeriSign takes care of .com and SIDN takes care of .nl.

This fee not only covers this 12 month deposit, it also ensures that, even if you are dissatisfied with your experience at Hostdeko, you won’t lose your domain name. You can simply use your DirectAdmin user account to point your domain elsewhere at your convenience.

Alternatively you can request auth codes and transfer your domain elsewhere.  Keep in mind that requesting auth codes has no impact on the non-refundable domain fee.

You retain ownership of your domain until the end of its registration period, unless you choose to extend it or transfer it.
